What is construction law?

Construction law is the formation of agreements and resolution of disputes between the builder and property owner. The construction of a home, office, or other type of building involves the coordination of many professionals. Plans and specifications are usually prepared by architects and engineers; construction is accomplished by general contractors and many subcontractors and material suppliers.

Why should I choose your firm?

We have experience in all aspects of construction law, including, but not limited to the representation of home owners, architects, contractors, and subcontractors. Our representation includes the review and preparation of construction contracts and assuring our client's interests are properly protected.

We also ensure the construction project complies with the Florida Construction Lien Law.

Subcontractors and material suppliers must also give proper notices, and file certain documents to assure their rights are protected. The failure of a subcontractor or material supplier to properly and timely file a "Notice to Owner" or a lien may jeopardize their ability to be compensated for their work. We represent numerous contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers in these regards.
